NEWS: I'll have a piece in this year's Art Invitational for Poetry Scores, a St. Louis arts organization. It's a one-night-only show at: The Luminary Center for the Arts 4900 Reber Pl. at Kingshighway Friday, November 13, 6-10 PM (after-party following at the Royale). Poetry Scores is an organization dedicated to creating visual art and music inspired by poetry. The art in this show is made in response to "The Sydney Highrise Variations", a long poem by Australian poet Les Murray. The art will be up for auction and about half the proceeds will go towards financial support of Poetry Scores. The night of the show also marks the official release of a cd which sets the poem to music, primarily rock songs but lots of other interesting forms as well. In addition to showing in the exhibit, I play guitar on a few songs on the cd. Here's the official press release from Poetry Scores. |
